Imaginary Art School
Minimalism was once the avant-garde but has since become the canon for design. The school of contemporary maximalism encourages students to defy that canon and try to explore a “more is more” way of designing, especially since new technologies have become more accessible and we can explore new ways of creating. Beauty for beauty’s sake is the motto of this imaginary school as the students are not merely limited by the functionality of the design.
A series of four books were designed to cover the main aspects of design such as type, icon, tone, and line using the main colors of the logo. Additional branding materials were also designed such as a hand-lettered promotional poster and some products for sale that include t-shirts and tote-bags.
